Story

06-1999
: GraphitX is online, as a home for demos Gritche has made as a cv (Freeride & Canopia ).

11-1999 : Mr Mix join to help in making a bigger version of Canopia, we worked for 6 month and tried to raise funds for this project. We were unlucky with this, but our engine was up.

06-2000 : We decide to sell mini games for marketing with Alien Kick (some nice branding in the stadium and a freeware game). Our client change his mind at the end.

12-2000 : We meet LudoRama, a french company that wanted to make lottery games with 3d games. We worked with them for nearly 10 months, and made LudoRace & LudoBall, with custom online technologies. They wanted to make pay-per-play games with big prizes for the winners (for France only). Only a few people wanted to pay to play through the net here, so they made no money and stopped the project.

08-2001 : The story ended there. Mr Mix and i went to work as for the gaming industry, so we had no more time to feed graphitx (we like work, but life rulez...)

10-2003 : The company I work for closed, but before i search for work overseas i would like to try another nice story like this one. Mr Mix is here again, and some other friends have agreed to join, so let's try..

01-2004 : We've found a nice project for advertising, 12 peoples to make an adventure game for Volvo.

Goals

Making freewares, sharewares, or commercial games ?

We would like to build a big game-maker community. We could make a nice SDK and plenty of tools so everybody can be a part of the process. All those games would be linked (downloaded & playable) from a "Canopia like" interface. For players it would cost about 5US$/Month, and we would pay the developers a percentage for each game.

This could take a long time to be ready, so we are thinking about making shareware games & screensaver and marketing games meanwhile to get full fridges etc.. :)

Any idea, suggestion or contract is welcom.
